Lutensol® XL 140 (C10-Guerbet alcohol alkoxylates) are nonionic surfactants. They are alkyl alkoxylates based on C10 Guerbet alcohol and are available with a versatile alkoxylation degree. Depending on the EO degree, the non-diluted grades are cloudy liquids or slightly yellowish pastes that become clear at 50®C. The water-diluted grades, indicated by the index XL..9, are clear liquids at room temperature. These products provide excellent wetting and solubilizing properties. Due to their less smelling character, formulations with sensitivity to odor can be prepared with such grades.
