Joncryl® 2040 is a synthetic alternative to casein, suitable for use in water-based décor inks. These inks are printed in gravure on a paper substrate and then impregnated in a melamine bath. The printed, impregnated paper is laminated to a hardwood-based substrate. Joncryl® 2040 ensures good penetration of melamine and provides good bleeding resistance during the melamine impregnation step.
