Ecovio® PS1606 (formerly known as Ecovio® FS Paper C1500) is our compostable product designed for paper coating, derived from renewable resources. It represents a specialized grade of our new compostable copolyester, Ecoflex® FS, blended with polylactic acid (PLA). Ecovio® PS1606 contains 75% renewable resources, as certified by ASTM D 6866. In the structure of Ecovio® PS1606, Ecoflex® FS imparts its beneficial properties – high toughness, excellent drawdown, superior welding capabilities, and good adhesion to cellulose. These attributes make Ecovio® PS1606 suitable for extrusion coating applications on paper and board, ensuring both compostability and performance standards.
